About Log Cabin Republicans of Coachella Valley
Log Cabin Republicans of Coachella Valley is a community of LGBT conservatives, Republicans, and allies who believe in individual liberty, limited government, personal responsibility, free markets, and equality under the law.
We believe political diversity is an important part of the LGBT community. Our chapter provides a welcoming space for people to connect, exchange ideas, build friendships, and participate in the political process without fear of judgment or exclusion.
Through community events, advocacy, and civic engagement, we work to strengthen the Republican Party, promote equal opportunity, and ensure LGBT conservatives have a voice in the Coachella Valley and beyond.

A Welcoming Chapter
While Log Cabin Republicans National focuses its advocacy on lesbian, gay, and bisexual Americans, our Coachella Valley chapter continues to welcome transgender and queer individuals, along with Republicans and allies who wish to participate in our meetings, events, and community activities.
Our commitment to respectful dialogue, individual liberty, and treating people with dignity remains unchanged. We believe political differences should never prevent people from finding common ground, building friendships, or participating in civic life.
Our Roots: The History of Log Cabin Republicans
The roots of Log Cabin Republicans trace back to California in 1977, when gay Republicans organized in opposition to the Briggs Initiative, a proposed measure that would have restricted gay and lesbian people and their supporters from working in California public schools.
Named in honor of Abraham Lincoln, Log Cabin Republicans grew into a national organization advocating for gay and lesbian Americans within the Republican Party, later expanding its advocacy to include bisexual Americans.
Today, Log Cabin Republicans of Coachella Valley continues that tradition by bringing together LGB conservatives, Republicans, and allies through community events, political engagement, and advocacy.
